Psalm 23

Sometimes I get depressed by the world today.  But my spirit receives hope again from the Psalm 23:
The Lord is my Shepherd ----- that's a Relationship!

I shall not want ----- that's
Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures ----that's
Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters -----that's Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul ----- that's
Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness --that's
Guidance!

For His name sake ----- that's
Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death--that's Testing!

I will fear no evil ----- that's
Protection!

For Thou art with me ----- that's
Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff comfort me -----that's Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies------that's
Hope!

Thou annointest my head with oil -----
that's Consecration!

My cup runneth over ----- that's
Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life----that's
Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord -----that's Security!

Forever ----- that's
Eternity!

The Morgan racers

Both Larry (with Donna) and Dale (with Karen) race Morgans. These foursome are friends I made in the trip to Maya. I have never known any car racer in my life.  Just thinking of that I played card games with them by the swimming pool in Belize City was kind of fun.  Donna is very good with keeping in touch and sent me the following photos.  Larry was in his red Morgan.  Larry and Donna in a parade, with Dale in the green Morgan following behind.

The boy with a golden heart

I would never forget Alex's tears when he encountered a beggar without both arms in Shanghai. He felt so sad and wanted to give some money to the guy.  How could he understand that it may not be a good idea just to give the beggar money?  How could he even thought of there might be ugly gangs behind those beggars gathered in locations where tourists are abundant?  He cried hard.  and I noticed the genuine softness in the eyes of the beggar without arms when he looked at Alex.  The incident reminded me that never let my heart depart from kindness and honesty, as demanded by the Bible.

How lucky am I to have a nephew like Alex.

Cherry blossoms in DC

I was two days ahead of the peak, but still found them so beautiful.  It was worth it to drive 1 hour to the metro station, than spend another hour to ride into the city. The temperature went up to the 80's, from the 40's only a week ago.  Thank God there are so much beauty in the blossoms.

PBS's "Nature" is Bowtie's favorate program

When Bowtie was a little kitty, he loved to "examine" the mechanism of how things work.  He went to the back of my printer to see what made the paper coming out of the machine.  He checked into any open box or bag.  But he is an old cat now,  and spent most of his time napping.  I noticed that some TV programs do get his attention.  He would stare at the TV, and follow the movement of animals shown on the screen.  I snatched a picture of him doing just that one evening.
