Manarola, Cinque Terre

Manarola is one of my favorite! And our having a nice lunch in a three star Michelin restaurant probably enhanced the whole experience.

Upon first arrival at the train station, the village seemed to be hiding behind a huge rock.
We walked through a tunnel to reach the other side:
Then everything unfolded with a lot to be explored:

Weiling went all the way down to be close to the water and a cave:
Hiking upward, one gets to see the colorful buildings in different shapes:

A cemetery along with light wired figures on the hillside:

 A cemetery by the waterfront:

The restaurant where we had lunch:

But the lovely trails were closed!
I only got to see the path leading to the closed trails.  A disappointment indeed!

We said good-bye to Manarola and headed back home.
